With the sighting of the new moon, the month of Ramadhan will start. Most likely on the 1st of September 2008, which is the year 1429 by Hijrah Calendar. Muslims are required to observe fasting through the whole month from Fajr (Dawn) until Maghrib (Sunset).

Whereas usually people think that fasting is restricted to food and drinks, it contains much more than that ( It is also wrongly practised to fill the stomach up to the top right at the time of breaking the fast. It was the tradition to break the fast with a few dates of odd number (3 or 5) and water. Than one was going for the prayer in congregation.

It is the month wherein the Holy Qur’an was send down from God (Arabic: Allah). Since the time of revelation not a single word of this Holy book has been changed by men (
